The group has been financed to date by membership fees. The voluntary commitment of the members has resulted in huge cost savings to the group. To date the society has 300 members who between them own approximately 15,000 acres of woodland.
The committee also includes representatives from each cluster area. This ensures that all geographical areas are represented.
A website was launched in June 2012. The aim of the website is to efficiently disseminate vital information to members as they require it.
The LTWO Ltd were instrumental in establishing the Knowledge Transfer Scheme(KTG) for forestry in 2017.

We will investigate the best legal structure for the group and a recommendation will be presented to the next AGM.
We are also investigating if grant aid is available to help conduct an extensive inventory of the volume of timber available for harvesting in the years ahead.
The legal state of the group was confirmed in September as Limerick and Tipperary Woodland Owners Ltd.
This is a "company, limited by guarentee", where maximum exposure to each member, in the event of failure of the company, is one euro.
